Linda B. Rutherford is Chief Administration & Communications Officer at Dallas-based Southwest Airlines. She has been with Southwest since 1992 and has responsibility over the Communications & Outreach and Culture & Engagement functions as well as People Department (human resources), Southwest Airlines University (training and leadership development) and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Ms. Rutherford began her Southwest career in 1992, and she has held several leadership positions, including senior vice president and chief communications officer, chief communications officer and vice president communication and outreach. Ms. Rutherford serves on several local and national nonprofit and community outreach boards. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Texas Tech University.
